Declaration Of Independence

Foraoise Draoichta is a free society full of happiness and respect. There is too much criticism in today's society. No creature shall be judged or criticized. Foraoise is a beautiful getaway for any creature, and should be considered an area of peace and prosperity for all. Fighting and other acts of violence will not be tolerated on our sacred forest lands.

The democracy of Foraoise Draoichta shall not be challenged, for it is the perfect option for this society. All creatures have complete freedom unless they break one of the ten important Foraoise rules. This perfect society houses many creatures, so everybody must get along and work cooperatively to create the equality that is absent on Planet Earth.

Come live in the perfect society of Foraoise Draiochta! We have beautiful living spaces and breathtaking landscapes for miles in every direction!

Foraoise has the best pets. Puffles and pixies are the best, cutest, most          obedient pets around.

Life would be perfect living with the elves! Everybody works together and in harmony.

                                     Governing Body

The governing body in Foraoise Draiochta is a simple democracy. The elected elf king has power, but his council can collectively veto any decision made. The elf king is the most powerful man in the land, but he cannot make any decisions unless everybody else thinks it is a good idea.

This kind of government is good because the wise elf king has the most power, but he can take advantage of all of that power. Checks and balances keep the government running.
Dear Annie,

How have you been? How's life back in Maryland? I'm loving life here in Foraoise Draoichta. It's calm, relaxing, and we can do what we want. Everyone is really kind and welcoming. We spend our days in the forests, meadows, and waterfalls. They are the prettiest I have ever seen!

I think you should seriously consider moving out here to Foraoise. Not only is the environment beautiful, but it's perfect for you and your children! In this society, everybody works and everybody reaps the benefits. The people here work together as one to create the best utopic society possible. It really is a beautiful thing to see.

I just bought a puffle yesterday, and it is so darned cute! It is nothing like the pets of your society. Puffles are loving, caring, and very obedient. We have the best pets here in Foraoise.

Well I have to go tend to the volcano, Annie. I hope you're doing good back at home. I miss you and I hope you might move out with me to this perfect place someday.

                                                                             -Carl

From the Journal of Dynuos, a cooking Elf.

Avrile 36, 2356

Today we have the Festival of  Easanna, the celebration of the waterfalls. It is one of the major festivals in Foraoise so us cooks are preparing all the food for the celebration tonight. Because it is such a big deal, we have to cook a lot of food! Three course meal... Hors D'oeuvre... Desserts... This is only my second big event so I'm a little nervous about messing something up. But Anotia assured me I will be ok. She has been a cooking elf for a year now, so she has a lot of experience with celebrations. I'm in charge of making a desserts. I think I am going to try out one of my favorite recipes that I created. Chocolate Water Lilac Pie. The water lilacs can only be found on the banks of waterfalls. I have to make ten whole pies though! I'm used to only making food for my village! It's going to be a lot of work... But we are all going to work together to create a masterpiece!

The celebration is going to be held at Ailleacht Sa Dtagann (Beauty in the Falls). It's the most beautiful waterfall in Foraoise Draiochta as well as the most celebrated. I'm going with Vesatia, our first date! A beautiful place for a first date. Hopefully I won't be so stressed about the food. The festival is to include dancing, a big dinner (cooked by us!), music, and fall games. I'm very excited! Easanna Festival is my favorite and I'm happy to be able to be a part of it this year!

Well it's time to go make pies...

Today Vesatia and I went to Na Lilac Corcra for lunch. It is such a relaxing place and there are always so many different things to see. Today we saw an elf with his five puffles pulling him around! It was hysterical. He was trying to control all of them but they were all pulling in different directions. They just wanted to play with a group of pixies nearby.  After watching them for a bit, we had a nice lunch of pastries and sandwiches, which I of course made! Vesatia loved it all and wants to learn how to bake pastries.

We then took a stroll around the relaxing meadow. It is always seems so peaceful, no matter how many elves and puffles and pixies are about. The smell of the lilacs made us sleepy and serene, so we sat under a lilac bush and just watched passerby in the late afternoon sun. Na Lilac Corcra is my favorite meadow and I'm glad Vesatia and I got to spend some time there together!

I had a long day at work today...

It started off with the boss getting mad at Anotia and I for not making the breakfast pancakes fast enough. We were trying our hardest! But everyone kept telling us different instructions and we were getting really confused. Once we finally made and efficient number of chocolate chip cherry, blueberry, and cinnamon roll pancakes, we had to make the syrup... Anotia was in charge of the Icing Syrup and I had to make the Chocolate Cherry Delight Syrup. I accidentally added one too many chocolate chips and it totally threw off the consistency of the syrup. I was so angry with myself but I just had to roll with the puffle punches and go with the pixie dust flow.Of course though, elves have to be SO. PICKY. They all complained how the syrup was just slightly too thick and the boss got really angry with me. But oh well. We eventually got it all figured out.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

These encompass the morals of Foraoise Draiochta, therefore, they are perfect for our community.

They love their puffle treats, play games for fun, and they will always follow their owner around. They love going for walks about Foraoise and especially love the meadows and waterfalls. They are often timid about going into the forests.

Puffles get along with each other, and love playing together.

Puffles come in a variety of colors.

Environmental Pictures

The enviorment of Foraoise Draiochta is made up of forests, meadows, waterfalls, and mountains. The seasons change between spring and summer so the forests and meadows are always green with grass and flowers. One main feature is the still active volcano.

Waterfalls: All of our waterfalls are unique. Each one is named for it's distinct physical features.

A Ceann Siochanta
An Ceann Siochanta, or "The Peaceful One", is named for the serenity and peace one feels from being there. Most of the water pixies often decide to reside in this area.
Draiocht Rock Falls
Named for the steep cliffs and magic like aura around the falls, Draiocht Rock Falls (Magic Rock Falls) is often flowing fast and the magical predators- Trolls and Giant Spiders are often found lurking in the forests surrounding the water.
Poll Corcra
Poll Corcra, meaning "Purple Hole", is named because of the look of  being in a hole when standing in the main cave (shown above). With the evening light, a purple aura is given off.

Forests: The forests are a big part of Foraoise Draiochta, after all, the translation means Magical Forest. We take pride in their beauty and mystery.

The Glowing Woods
These woods look like they are glowing due to the light pixies residing in the high grasses. At night they often light up with different colors and can be seen from surrounding areas. It's a great place to go for a long relaxing walk.

Meadows: The meadows in Foraoise Draiochta are often were most of the creatures spend their free time in the meadows. The meadows are often cool and peaceful.

Ait A Bhfuil An Ghrian Gheal
Ait A Bhfuil An Ghrian Gheal, meaning "Where the sun is bright", is a beautiful meadow. It surrounds a small river with plants ranging in every color growing on the lush banks. In the early morning, the sun shines through the trees and growth, giving off a distinct color, that makes this place a unique one.

Na Lilacs Corcra
This meadow, meaning "The Purple Lilacs", is named for the thousands of different  types of purple lilacs growing in the meadow. The air is filled with a distinct sweet smell from the flowers. Many creatures can be found taking naps in the lazy afternoon sun.

Volcano: Foraoise Draiochta contains one active volcano. It is main tourist attraction but should be handled with care.

Tine Te Volcano
Meaning "Hot Fire", is the only volcano in Foraoise Draiochta. Tine Te has magical features and is very dangerous. It is still active and goes off at random unknown times but when it does erupt, it's a sight to see.

List Of Rules

1. Residents of Foraoise Draiochta must always respect the environment and keep their own living space as well as their assigned environmental feature clean. The environment is a main attraction in Foraoise and is our pride. Each citizen is to help keep the reputation up.

2. All elves must travel in groups of three or more when leaving the residence area. This is to ensure no elf becomes lost in the magical forests, which are dangerous.

3. Pets must always be kept on a leash. Keeping pets on leashes is required to ensure that no pixie or puffle is left on the loose and will not wreak havoc. You are in charge of your pets at all times. Wild pixies and puffles are sly tricksters, therefore they should be treated with caution and are considered dangerous.

4. Every resident must do their part in the community. Recycling all types of material is required. Again, the environment is a main interest in Foraoise and we will do anything to keep our ecosystem in good shape.

5. Unicorns and Griffins must be tamed and approved by a professional before they are used as transportation. They must be properly taken care of and picked up after.

6. Tine Te Volcano is completely off-limits without proper government approval. It is a dangerous physical feature due to it's magical activity as well as not knowing when it will erupt. Elves are to receive special training as well as governmental approval to become Volcano Watchmen.

7. You may not slaughter wild creatures unless you are an occupational hunter. Each creature is unique and part of the ecosystem, therefore, they should be cherished and protected.

8. Always have some weapons handy when you leave the safe city limits. Because Foraoise is a magical society, there is also dark magic and evil and each elf should protect themselves against whatever is outside of the safe limits.

9. For your own safety, do not visit the forests surrounding Draiocht Rock Falls after dark. Draiocht Rock Falls is were the trolls and giant spiders are most often sighted- especially at night. These creatures are highly dangerous and predators of elves. Also, the dark magic is most present at night and should be treated with caution for safety.

10. The waterfalls are always open to any creature who wishes to visit. The waterfalls are a calm, relaxing place which can be used for recreational time. Any creature who wishes to visit has permission to.

Any violation of the rules above will result in a governmental hearing to decide the severity of the violation and punishment will be based on severity.

Foraoise Draiochta

We named our utopian society Foraoise Draiochta which means "Magical Forest" in Irish. Foraoise Draiochta's ecosystem is comprised of meadows, waterfalls, forests, and a volcano. But mainly forests. There are magical powers within Foraoise and magical activity is always high in the forests. The citizens of Foraoise Draiochta cherish the outdoors and spend most of their time in the woods, meadows, and waterfalls. These magical places are very important to our society.
